What is SOS Help for Parents?
SOS Help for Parents is an evidence-based parenting program and book by clinical psychologist Dr. Lynn Clark. It teaches parents and caregivers more than 20 practical methods for managing 46 common behavior problems in children ages 2 to 12, using principles from behavior therapy and cognitive-behavior therapy.
What is SOS Help for Emotions?
SOS Help for Emotions is a self-help book that teaches adults and older teens research-based cognitive-behavioral skills for managing anxiety, anger, and depression. It is used both by individuals and by counselors and educators who support them.
What ages are the SOS parenting methods for?
The parenting methods in SOS Help for Parents are designed for children ages 2 to 12. SOS Help for Emotions is written for older teens and adults who want to manage their own anxiety, anger, or low mood.
Is SOS evidence-based?
Yes. SOS is built on the principles of behavior therapy and cognitive-behavior therapy — approaches with strong research support — and has been reviewed favorably in professional literature, including the Journal of Clinical Child Psychology.
What languages and formats are available?
SOS materials are available in print, eBook, audiobook, audio CD, and video/DVD or streaming formats. The program has been translated into 18 languages, including full Spanish editions (SOS Ayuda para Padres and SOS Ayuda con Emociones).

Bulk & institutional orders
How do I place a bulk or volume order?
Institutions buy directly from SOS Programs. Submit a quote request with the titles, formats, and quantities you need, and we'll return an itemized quote — typically within one business day. From there you can order by purchase order or card.
Do you accept purchase orders?
Yes. Schools, government agencies, healthcare organizations, libraries, and nonprofits can order by purchase order. Net terms are available for qualified institutions.
Is volume pricing available?
Yes. Pricing improves as quantities increase. Request a quote with your quantities and we'll return volume pricing you can use for budgeting and approvals.
Can you provide a W-9 or sole-source letter?
Yes. We can provide a W-9, vendor-onboarding documents, and — because SOS titles are published exclusively by Parents Press — a sole-source letter when your procurement process requires one.
Can we order in Spanish and English together?
Yes. You can combine English and Spanish editions on a single order and quote to serve multilingual communities.
